- Team NextLevel Performance Clinics

To perform at the highest level in sports, student-athletes must train with intensity. More importantly, though, they must focus on the right exercises and drills- those that will most benefit them for their particular sport.

Whether getting ready for the upcoming season or keeping in top condition, athletes who attend Team NextLevel Performance Improvement clinics are guaranteed results.

Team NextLevel's Performance Improvement clinics include a variety of cross-sport functional and sport-specific drills and exercises, created and bundled by the Team NextLevel Staff for maximum results.

- Nutrition
To lose weight, eat smaller meals more often. Why? Well, there are two reasons. First, your body is forced to digest food more often, burning calories. Secondly, by not starving your body of food, it sees no need to hold onto excess energy (calories). :: more tips..

- Training
Overtraining is one of the most common mistakes made by young athletes. Although you may think you are doing your body good, you are likely doing more harm. Remember this: working out tears down muscle tissue. The body needs time to recuperate and repair that tissue. To avoid overtraining, be sure to a) work all major muscle groups equally and b) give your body sufficient rest between workouts. :: more tips..

- Sport-Specific
Be sure to work on drills and exercises, including your weight training program, that translate directly to the sport and position you play. For example, since football players seldom run further than several yards and in 'quick spurts', conditioning that focuses on sprints with short rest periods is more effective and will better prepare you for competition than, say, running two miles twice per week.

As another example, basketball players, because they must move laterally and change directions often, should perform quickness drills more often than speed drills. And for them, endurance is important, so distance running will provide a direct benefit. :: more tips..
